ABOUT MARY CURRAN, CENTRE FOR PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Mary is one of Ireland’s most experienced coaches. She has worked full-time in the coaching profession since qualifying with the Life & Business Coaching Association of Ireland and Coach Ville, Nevada, USA in 2001. She also has an Advanced Diploma in Supervision from the University of Middlesex, enabling her to supervise Trainers, Executive Coaches and Directors.
Mary’s background is in Public Relations and Marketing in the ESB. She then went on to set up her own business, Pavlova Pantry, an Australian-style restaurant having won the ESB Innovative Business Ideas Competition in 1988.
In November 1999, Mary opened the Centre for Professional & Personal Development.
Mary is a founder member of the Life & Business Coaching Association of Ireland and the Association for Coaching in Ireland.
She has delivered training in Communication & Personal Effectiveness, Advanced NLP and Presentation Skills, Coaching Diploma with a QQI Special Purpose Award.
Mary is also on the faculty for VHI Corporate Solutions, where she provides facilitation, training and coaching on work-life balance, retirement planning, stress management and change management.
Mary works with clients across different sectors, including SMEs, industry bodies, professional consulting and financial services firms including the Law Society of Ireland, AIB Bank, Ulster Bank, Institute of Engineers, Laois Chamber of Commerce, Team of Solicitors, Bridgestone Ireland, Oracle and Accenture, where her coaching was instrumental in preparing senior managers to become partners.
Mary is accredited in a number of behavioural psychology models and psychometrics which are integrated into her coaching work, including: Belbin Team Role profiling, Insights Profiling, Emotional Intelligence –Baron EQ and holds a Master in NLP.
